How To Prevent A Traffic Jam

You can't prevent traffic jams from happening, but there are ways to either avoid them or prepare for them. Changing a negative situation, such as a traffic jam, into something beneficial or neutral is possible. The following are Highway Hero Driving Academy's suggestions for driving in a traffic jam:

#1 Check the Best Routes

Double-check your routes and check the GPS for traffic information. Check whether the most direct route is closed or experiencing traffic delays. Consider traveling on back roads instead of the main highway. Certain roads may be more peaceful, or at the very least more open, than the more heavily used ones.

#2 Stay Hydrated

It doesn't matter whether or not it is hot outside; staying hydrated is essential. Avoiding coffee and caffeine, which may irritate the bladder and speed up the need to urinate, is the best strategy to reduce the frequency with which you feel the need to relieve yourself.

#3 Keep Smiling

There's no escape from the aggravation of being stuck in traffic. It's true that once you're trapped, there's no way out. Yelling, cussing, or being upset won't speed up traffic. In fact, doing so has the potential to worsen the situation dramatically. Highway Hero Driving Academy suggests you keep smiling, remain positive, and stay alert!
